Sunbeam by Otakar Švec
For a long time, we in the editorial office have been saying that it would be worth publishing Motor Journal supplements as monothematic issues dedicated to either one brand or even exceptional vehicles. There are ideas to share, but even more work, so we kept postponing it, postponing it, and postponing it... until circumstances pushed us up against the wall. After all, you have to start somewhere.
In recent years, the editorial staff of Motor Journal has been preparing thematic exhibitions at the traditional Motortechna Brno. We have already presented Rudge, Ariel motorcycles, racing machines, and celebrated the anniversary of the production of Molsheim cars with an engine from Bugatti 13. For the spring of 2009, we prepared an exhibition of Sunbeam machines together with Jiří Hořic, chairman of the organizing club, expert and collector of Sunbeam machines. On that occasion, we got excited, put everything aside and started working on the first issue of the new edition of the Motor Journal Library. The first issue of our magazine was published in September 2000 and in it we also focused on Sunbeam, especially the 90 TT model. Today, we are returning to the Sunbeam after many years. We hope that it will warm you up at the beginning of the upcoming season and that it will heat up your machines. Then, may our computers not cool down while we prepare the next issues of the new edition.
