A popular saying goes that lightning never strikes the same place twice. However, this is not true and this myth has been debunked many times. Lightning did strike twice, even figuratively, in the case of Champion and AC spark plugs. Champion spark plugs were named after the company's founder Albert Champion and his initials gave the name to AC spark plugs. Albert Champion founded his first company in Boston in June 1905.
The success of the Paris to Rouen automobile race organized by the newspaper Le Petit Journal in 1894 prompted Count Albert de Dion to organize the first speed automobile race. from Paris to Bordeaux and back. At Retro Garage in Lysa nad Labem The 17th auction of vintage vehicles took place on April 26. All 30 motorcycles and 14 cars were auctioned off. Four items were purchased online by bidders through the auction portal Aukro, another four were purchased by phone, and the rest of the items were auctioned off by those present in the hall.
Auction hall Historics Auctioneers has set up a sale of 159 cars at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre in Hampshire on Saturday 3 May. The auction, entitled Flight of Elegance, saw 106 lots sold in the afternoon, with a further 17 sold after the auction.
