Competition at Villa d'Este took place on the weekend of May 23-25 in Cernobbio on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. The title of "Best of Show" was won by the Alfa Romeo P3 Monoposto racing car, which was entered into the competition by the German company Auriga Collection. In early July 1955, an Austin A90 Westminster set off from London on a 28,000-kilometre journey.
