On July 6, 1980, four Tatras and one Aero set off on a long journey to France from Hradec Králové and Prague to take part in the 11th Golden Eagle of historic car and motorcycle races, organized by the French club Ecurie corail (Coral Stable). It was a trip of the Hradec Králové Veteran Car Club, organized by the Autoturist travel agency.

On Wednesday, October 8, 1930, the headline „Mrs. Victor Bruce is safe“ appeared on the front page of several British newspapers. This is probably the best evidence of how well-known Mary Victor Bruce was at the time, as no further explanation was needed. In the 1920s and 1930s, Mary Bruce was as popular in England as a film star.
Alexandre Darracq – the man who was at the origin of car companies in France, England, Germany, Italy and Spain, a gifted engineer whose name was given to cars that won the biggest races of their time and set world speed records, actually had a reserved attitude towards cars. He didn’t even like driving a car himself and didn’t even have a driver’s license. It was simply a product that he knew how to make, sell and make some money from.
The largest Czechoslovak motorcycle manufacturer of the second half of the 1920s, Premier, a joint-stock company for the production of bicycles and machines Prague - Cheb, sold the two-stroke single-cylinder Liliput at the cheapest price. At the other end of the range and the design pinnacle of the brand, until the start of production of the oblique single-cylinder SSL, was the vertical air-cooled, twin-exhaust single-cylinder SSR - an OHV machine of the 500 cm3 displacement category called the Supersport.
From Thursday 9 October, potential buyers could view more than eighty cars at the Autoworld museum in Brussels, prepared for them by the French auction house Aguttes. The auction itself took place on Saturday afternoon. In the evening, 65 % bids were sold, but in many cases for less than expected.
