Motor Journal No. 273 (2025/01) is published on Friday, January 4, 2025
The January Motor Journal is published, as always, on the first Friday of the month (January 4, 2025).
As always, the Miscellaneous News section mainly focuses on round January anniversaries with dates ending in five. We commemorate the personalities of Albert Divo, John Zachary DeLorean, Rowan Atkinson and Josef Michl, as well as races, car shows and new books. Baron Artur Kraus was a Renaissance and extremely active person, among other things he also imported the first motorcycle to the Czech lands. Carlo Chitone Chiti was directly responsible for the development of all Alfa Romeo racing cars produced between 1965 and 1983. Our collectors achieved extraordinary success at the Concours d'Elegance in Chantilly, France. Pavel Kasík with a Tatra 80 and František and Robert Kudel with a Talbot-Lago T26GS with an Antem body won the highest prizes, it was a historic event for our veteran movement. Jan Králík recalls a bicycle reconnaissance expedition to museums and collectors, this time they visited Italy again. Pavel Kalina lent his formulas to the filming of the second part of the fifth series of Grand Tour (2022), it was again something unforgettable, so it was necessary to share it with hindsight. We briefly visited the car production in Eisenach with Ivan Plachý's memory of racing with the Wartburg 353. A new motorcycle museum, MOTO – DEPO – ČEZETA, was created in the Strakonice spinning mill, the love for the brand is visible here and it is definitely worth a visit. The Motor Journal veteran salon brings a detailed description of the Gilera Saturno 500 Bialbero motorcycle, a relatively new motorcycle with great collector's potential. Finally, we traditionally focus on auctions around the world. Private and commercial advertising, that is the content of the last pages of this year's first issue of Motor Journal.
