The book recalls more than 150 car models that were sold in Czechoslovakia between 1945 and 1990. Passenger cars of three dozen different brands came from domestic production, but also from imports, whether from Eastern or Western Europe, and exceptionally from Japan and South Korea. The car descriptions are illustrated by 450 mostly color photographs and drawings.

The 556.0 locomotive series was one of the most reliable and widely used locomotive series in our locomotive industry. It was so successful with its operational performance and design simplicity that 510 of them were produced within seven years. Linser, which at the beginning of the 20th century was the first in Austria-Hungary to produce a car – a voiturette with a four-cylinder engine. The production of motorcycles and cars lasted only a short time in the company, but it continued to cooperate with a number of automotive companies and after the war the factory became a foundry of the LIAZ company.

Česká zbrojovka was one of the pillars of Czechoslovak industry. In addition to arms production in the interwar period, it became famous as the Czech Motorcycle Works for the production of touring and sports motorcycles and scooters. The publication With the ČZ brand on leaflets and brochures introduces the reader to the production program of this famous brand, practically all manufactured models, through unique promotional prints and rare photographs. The story of the ČZ motorcycle brand, which spans almost three quarters of the twentieth century, is interwoven with many sporting successes, including seven firsts in the World Motocross Championship and valuable victories in the Six Days. In addition to their primary mission, these prints are valuable evidence of period graphic work and reproduction technology. The book will certainly delight not only experts in motorcycle history, but we believe that it will also appeal to the younger generation by learning about the respectable work and abilities of our ancestors, thanks to whom Czechoslovakia was among the most industrially advanced countries in the world before the war.

It will remind the reader of the Škoda and Bohemia Rally, as well as other important competition events that have maintained their existence to this day, such as the Barum Rally, the Valašská Rally, the Český Krumlov Rally or the Tatry Rally.

Tatra – Passenger Cars on Posters and Brochures 1945-1999, Martin Kupec
The Tatra limousines, produced between 1945 and 1999, had a special fate. Although they were always elegant cars with a unique technical concept, they carried a certain stigma with them. This was due to their almost exclusive purpose for a narrowly selected circle, especially political prominent people of the time. Even though these cars were not primarily sold on the regular market, their printed promotion in the form of brochures and posters was quite extensive. This resulted in many unique materials for domestic and foreign customers. And almost all of them have been concentrated in this book for the first time. A novelty in the publication this time is a total of 21 drawings, mainly of cars, by the artist Jan Hlavín, which introduce individual chapters and enrich the book artistically.
