A selection of the most famous cars produced in Mladá Boleslav. The technical development of cars is evident in the individual types from the first Laurinka to the present. Each model is presented in a detailed technical transparency by Jiří Dufek, supplemented by other technical drawings or examples of drawing documentation. The profile of each of the cars on display is illustrated in detail by color and black-and-white photographs from the archives of the authors and the car manufacturer. A large amount of visual material is connected by interesting texts by Jan Králík about the development of individual models, their production and sporting successes, and it also introduces several personalities from the many who have contributed to the success or fame of Mladá Boleslav cars. The narrative color book will delight anyone who is at least a little interested in cars and will certainly appeal to die-hard fans of Škoda cars.

For readers interested in the history of motoring, a book about the development, preparation and mass production of the Czech passenger car has been prepared on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Škoda 1000 MB. The first part contains a brief recapitulation of the post-war predecessors from 1946 to 1964. A number of previously unpublished photographs will present prototypes and serial "thousands". The content offers high-quality and verified information about technical parameters, interesting facts from production, the number of units produced for the domestic and foreign markets, and sporting successes.

GRADA Publishing
Hardcover, format 21 × 25 cm, 160 pages
At the end of November 2022, the Prague-based Grada Publishing published a new book, "The Legendary Škoda 105/120 and its Siblings", authored by Motor Journal's regular collaborator Jan Tuček. The publication is dedicated to the last generation of Škoda cars with a rear engine, the Š 105/120/130 model series, the production of which exceeded two million cars between 1976 and 1990. It recalls the four-door sedans and the two-door coupes Garde and Rapid, their development, production and gradual modernization. There is a detailed overview of the production of these cars in individual years. The book also maps a diverse range of now almost forgotten variants and prototypes of various concepts built on the basis of the Š 742 and Š 743 cars in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny and Bratislava. Separate chapters are devoted to the conversions of Rapid coupés into convertibles in Germany, Great Britain, Denmark, Canada and in the Czech Republic, as well as to the sports use of cars of this series. 352 illustrations (photographs, brochures, drawings and transparent drawings), of which 226 are in color
