The book is the last part of a triptych mapping almost a century of history of the Czechoslovak motorcycle industry. After the publications With the ČZ brand and Pionýr, Babetta and co. on leaflets and in brochures, we are coming up with a rich offer of original, often unique printed materials of our world's most famous motorcycle brand. At first glance, it seems that this is a book mostly with pictures, with only an introductory text by the author. Thanks to the pre-war brochures aimed at the domestic market, there is a lot of interesting reading available in Czech. In addition to the necessary technical information with a product description, the reader will learn a lot about the lifestyle, customs and priorities of the society of the time. The book Jawa Motorcycles on Leaflets and in Brochures is intended for anyone who is interested in history, not just motorcycle history. We believe that it will also appeal to the younger generation by recognizing that thanks to our ancestors, Czechoslovakia was among the most industrially advanced countries in the world before the war. All three publications, thanks to their focus and the amount of rare information they contain, have the ambition to remain in libraries for future generations to see.

After the monument about Jawa by Libor Marčík and the book With the ČZ brand on leaflets and brochures, this publication brings in a similar form through a collection of often unique brochures and leaflets, a look into the history of the production of small motorcycles and mopeds. Slovak motorcycle production was an important integral part of the Czechoslovak motorcycle industry. It significantly enriched the range, including the now iconic machines such as the Jawa Pionýr and Babetta. Even though it used the Jawa brand for commercial reasons, it was an original production of Považské strojírny. The ambition of this book is to recall the history of the joint effort to maintain the tradition of motorcycle production in Czechoslovakia, and perhaps bring a little lesson to young readers.
From copper mold to automobile. The story of the Liberec factory Ch. Linser, Jan Mohr
The book will introduce you to the history of the Liberec engineering factory Ch. Linser, which at the beginning of the 20th century was the first in Austria-Hungary to produce a car – a voiturette with a four-cylinder engine. The production of motorcycles and cars lasted only a short time in the company, but it continued to cooperate with a number of automotive companies and after the war the factory became a foundry of the LIAZ company.

Česká zbrojovka was one of the pillars of Czechoslovak industry. In addition to arms production in the interwar period, it became famous as the Czech Motorcycle Works for the production of touring and sports motorcycles and scooters. The publication With the ČZ brand on leaflets and brochures introduces the reader to the production program of this famous brand, practically all manufactured models, through unique promotional prints and rare photographs. The story of the ČZ motorcycle brand, which spans almost three quarters of the twentieth century, is interwoven with many sporting successes, including seven firsts in the World Motocross Championship and valuable victories in the Six Days. In addition to their primary mission, these prints are valuable evidence of period graphic work and reproduction technology. Cars and motorcycles with Wankel engines, Michael Květoň
The publication presents the history of the then new design of the internal combustion engine and the life of its creator, Felix Wankel. The engine was presented to the professional public in a practically usable form in 1960. The world was amazed and at first glance it seemed that a completely new era of the internal combustion engine was beginning. Car manufacturers and other internal combustion engine manufacturers feverishly bought licenses and began working on their own development of the Wankel engine. However, with increasing problems, they gradually dropped out, until only Mazda from Japan remained, which produced cars with the Wankel engine until 2012. However, the Wankel engine has not yet said its last word.

As part of the systematic processing of sources on the famous Vysoké Mýto body shop of Josef Sodomka, another, already VIII. volume of the history of production in Vysoké Mýto is coming to the book market. The author is a long-time supporter of the Ogar manufacturing brand. In addition to gradually acquiring detailed knowledge of all manufactured types, he carefully collected any available information from the period press, company brochures, photographs, manuals and spare parts catalogs for many years. The time has come and the fan of the non-existent motorcycle brand considered it appropriate to enrich the knowledge of supporters, open the memories of eyewitnesses, expand the offer on bookstore shelves, but also publicly boast of the results of purposeful activity. Our Motorcycle Import, The First 70 Years, 1895–1964, Milan Veselý
The new book is the result of many years of research efforts by the author and his friends. It is prepared as an encyclopedia mapping the first 70 years of motorcycle imports to our territory. The main emphasis is placed on the most complete list of brands operating on our market, the time frame of their operation and the determination of their success expressed primarily by the number of units sold. For the most important companies, an analysis of the structure of the type offer is carried out, information is provided about representatives, operational interesting facts, the most important sporting successes and notes on the service life of their machines and their occurrence in today's collections of historic vehicles. The operation of individual brands on our market is supplemented with basic facts from their own company history.
The book begins with a brief historical overview summarizing the first 70 years of our motorcycle imports. The first part follows, dedicated to 54 brands that managed to sell more than 100 motorcycles in our country. Their treatment is significantly more detailed than the treatment of the remaining 219 brands in the second part. The huge number of illustrations, together with the high level of graphic and printing work, gives the publication a representative character. The vast majority of the illustrative material was taken from period prints and albums of period photographs of exclusively domestic origin.

The new book is the result of many years of research efforts by the author and his friends. The aim of the publication is to provide the most concise, yet comprehensive description of the development of the first 120 years of two-wheeled motorization in our territory. The main part of the book is prepared as an annotated and illustrated statistical report on the development of our motorcycle production, sales, imports and motorization of the population. The brief text illuminating the economic, political and legislative background is supplemented by a number of exceptionally extensive tables with never-before-published data. Road, as the queen of motorcycle sports, has the oldest world championship. In our country, the Czechoslovakian championship is proud of its founding date in 1954. During its existence, the composition of the cubic capacities gradually changed. Sidecars also appeared briefly in it. During the existence of the Czechoslovakian championship, more than 800 riders took turns as participants. The best of them managed to permanently write their names in the historical winners' tables. The aim of my story is to bring both witnesses and the younger generation closer to the atmosphere of the races by looking behind the scenes. The individual stories of people, mechanics, competitors and also organizers of motorcycle road races tell how attractive and dramatic those times were.

A novelty is coming to bookshelves in the Retro edition, because motorcycle sidecars form an integral, but little-known part of Czechoslovak motoring history. The book provides readers with a comprehensive picture of the history of the use of sidecars in conjunction with motorcycles, which was a direct and logical consequence of the specific post-war development of motoring in Czechoslovakia. The specificity of Czechoslovak development is confirmed by the fact that in no other country has the use of motorcycle sidecars been so widespread as in Czechoslovakia. The book's advantage is a detailed mapping of the development of motorcycle sidecars in Czechoslovakia, both directly of the PAv sidecars, whose purposeful and yet very tasteful and timeless design embodied the materialization of efforts to use the motorcycle as a full-fledged means of transport, as well as of predecessors and also of amateur-built sidecars, for which the PAv sidecars were an inspiration. Individual sidecars are described in detail and appropriately documented photographically. Based on the processing of many period documents, the book also provides information on the practical operation of carts, their maintenance and repairs.

Grada introduces a new book, it was ready for printing in 1955, but unfortunately it was not published then. Its content is articles that were published in the magazine Svět Motorů in the years 1953–1955. In them, the Šulc brothers devoted themselves to the maintenance and repair of the best-selling ČZ motorcycles, which are still the most widespread among collectors and veterans today. Many motorcyclists keep their motorcycles in good condition, but there are few who can adjust their motorcycle correctly, and even fewer who can find a fault and fix it. Why? Because they do not know their motorcycle. That is why we want to help them. With these words, the Šulc brothers began a series of 25 articles that were to be published in a sequel, and which they planned to publish as a manual. They covered in detail riding techniques (breaking in a new motorcycle, riding uphill, riding in the dark), maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, chain tensioning, adjusting brakes, caring for tires), but also more complex topics (disassembling the carburetor, adjusting the igniter, regrinding the cylinder, wheel alignment, engine repairs, removing and installing bearings, and other technical details. The articles are supplemented with technical photographs from the ČZ archive, comments on repair procedures from a contemporary perspective, and assessments of what is usable and what is not. The Šulc brothers' insider advice will certainly be appreciated by the entire community of veteran bikers even after years.
Motorcycles in the Great War 1914 – 1918, Miloslav Straka
Another in a series of works by the renowned author deals with motorcycle history again, this time against the backdrop of World War I. It is published at a time when a hundred years have passed since its course, and the consequences of which fatally influenced the further development of all sectors in Europe. The book is not a historical study of the war, but has the ambition to present the role of motorcycles and the soldiers who served with them in the war. Motorcycles in the Great War performed a number of specific tasks. In addition to the very important courier service, they also served in ambulance and reconnaissance services. Armies used motorcycles on almost all battlefields, but the largest number was on the Western Front on the side of the Allies. The book introduces readers to individual variants of military machines, technical details, a detailed description of the most used models and the history of the brands represented. The publication brings a lot of interesting information not only to our regular fans of motorcycle history, but should also appeal to fans of military history and militaries in general.

„"Kývačky" were in production since 1954. In the beginning it was a motorcycle of modern design and due to the limited range of offer it became the most widespread type on domestic roads. The chassis was universal, suitable for mounting two-stroke air-cooled engines of five displacement classes.
The first pages of the book contain a brief introduction with a quick overview of pre-war production. The rest of the content will enlighten the reader about the extensive history with period photographs of prototypes, dimensional sketches, photographs of sports and civilian versions from period newspapers, and detailed descriptions of the differences between the individual types. The world of four-cylinder motorcycles, Miloslav Straka
The author has compiled the history of the development and production of four-cylinder engines for motorcycles from the first preserved types. After a three-page introduction to the subject, there is the first of the structurally interesting motorcycles with a four-cylinder engine, where we also have a proud world first: the Laurin & Klement with an in-line four-cylinder engine made in Austria-Hungary. From a chronological perspective, various design directions are interesting, often avant-garde, but also some less fortunate ones, which were often limited by the possibilities of workshop processing. The theoretical idea of the designer was timeless, but the appropriate technology had not yet been produced. Detailed technical descriptions of another twenty-five structurally interesting motorcycles of often no longer existing production brands will certainly interest readers of all age groups.
Czech Roads 1945 – 1955, Jan Lahner
A lifelong passion for motorcycle racing, careful study of archives, collection of memories of eyewitnesses and period photographs, programs of long-forgotten races and newspaper clippings, translated into clearly arranged 270 large-format pages in hardcover. This is what Jan Lahner's magnum opus, Czechoslovak Roads 1945-1955, looks like. Renowned motoring historian Jan Lahner has compiled a unique work documenting motorcycle racing on our roads in the first post-war decade. Each year of this period is dedicated to one chapter, describing in detail individual motorcycle races. Each chapter is supplemented by biographies of the racers who met in those years on road races and formed the top of the time. The lives of racers such as Kostlivec, Bubeníček, Lucák, Dusil, Kněz, Jiří and Jaroslav Simandl, or Jiří Koštíř and many others have not yet been published anywhere. Similarly, many of the more than 600 black and white photographs contained in the book have not yet been known to the public. The last chapters contain technical descriptions of interesting racing motorcycles and a clearly arranged table of all recorded race results.

Another part of the extensive work of the author and historian. Already on the page with the contents, the reader will find out that in a sector of only seven letters in alphabetical order, there were 72 motorcycle brands operating in our republic. Small locksmith workshops that produced a single motorcycle or applied a drive unit to a bicycle frame are also captured.
