Road, as the queen of motorcycle sports, has the oldest world championship. In our country, the Czechoslovakian championship is proud of its founding date in 1954. During its existence, the composition of the cubic capacities gradually changed. Sidecars also appeared briefly in it. During the existence of the Czechoslovakian championship, more than 800 riders took turns as participants. The best of them managed to permanently write their names in the historical winners' tables. The aim of my story is to bring both witnesses and the younger generation closer to the atmosphere of the races by looking behind the scenes. The individual stories of people, mechanics, competitors and also organizers of motorcycle road races tell how attractive and dramatic those times were.

The only comprehensive publication on the development, production and individual versions of the Tatra 813 vehicle is compiled mainly from archival documents of the Central Military Archive/Military Historical Archive Prague. In the introduction, it introduces the reader to the means used to move artillery and very heavy loads after World War II. The main part of the book contains information on the development of the Tatra 813 tractor, on the production of prototypes and their testing, as well as on the design of semi-trailers required by the army. In the most extensive chapter, divided into several parts, you will find tactical and technical data on individual applications of the vehicle, which are supplemented by drawings and photographs of various parts of the vehicle. The basic type of the Tatra 813 8 × 8 tractor (Kolos) is described in the most detail, from which the entire unified series is based. For other versions, including civilian ones, mainly design changes are presented. The appendices contain not only descriptions of the tractor's semi-trailer equipment and the use of T 930 series engines in individual vehicles, but also color photographs of the T 813 vehicles and their successor, the T 815.

To give a concise overview of the extensive content, it is possible to write that the representative publication captures the author's dedication to the specific discipline of automobile racing, held with various variations up to the present day. The intention of the first year of the competition, which began to be prepared in the Autoklub na Opletalová in February 1933, was to promote the domestic automobile industry affected by the economic crisis. The description of the three pre-war years takes up two-thirds of the publication's content. Some of the original photographs of the competition cars were stored in the archives of the Technical Museum, photos of the prototypes were discovered quite by chance in an unused archive, another series of photographs were borrowed from family albums of generations that know the direct participants only from preserved oral memories. Details of the individual years are presented by copies of the period press. Several original photographs show factory cars that never participated in any other races or competitions; after the end of the first year of the "miles", they were destroyed by the manufacturer - they did not live up to expectations. The following pages describe the commemorative years starting in 1970, when there were already enough enthusiastic owners of historic vehicles across the country. The last part contains the lists of starters and the results tables of the pre-war years.

Grada introduces a new book, it was ready for printing in 1955, but unfortunately it was not published then. Its content is articles that were published in the magazine Svět Motorů in the years 1953–1955. In them, the Šulc brothers devoted themselves to the maintenance and repair of the best-selling ČZ motorcycles, which are still the most widespread among collectors and veterans today. Many motorcyclists keep their motorcycles in good condition, but there are few who can adjust their motorcycle correctly, and even fewer who can find a fault and fix it. Why? Because they do not know their motorcycle. That is why we want to help them. With these words, the Šulc brothers began a series of 25 articles that were to be published in a sequel, and which they planned to publish as a manual. They covered in detail riding techniques (breaking in a new motorcycle, riding uphill, riding in the dark), maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, chain tensioning, adjusting brakes, caring for tires), but also more complex topics (disassembling the carburetor, adjusting the igniter, regrinding the cylinder, wheel alignment, engine repairs, removing and installing bearings, and other technical details. The articles are supplemented with technical photographs from the ČZ archive, comments on repair procedures from a contemporary perspective, and assessments of what is usable and what is not. The Šulc brothers' insider advice will certainly be appreciated by the entire community of veteran bikers even after years.
